Remy + Sam - Kent Wedding Photographer
"Kev Elkins Photography is the actual one. An amazingly creative and down to earth guy - supportive and super easy to liaise with right from first contact, through every step of the lead up to the big day, and SUCH a calm and relaxing presence when the wedding day finally arrives. I couldn’t recommend him more to anyone who is planning a wedding!"

I first met Remy & Sam in Croydon, where we had a great pre-wedding shoot. We spent most of the time chatting, eating and there were a few beers and ciders involved too. You can see their shoot here!
When I first got approached about shooting this wedding I was in awe of Remy & Sam’s venue, Lympne Castle. It’s just a stunning place. Steeped in history, surrounded by amazing coastal views, and Sam even mentioned that on a clear day you can see France!
When I arrived at Lympne castle early in the morning, you could see there was a real sense of togetherness. Remy & Sam’s family and friends had come together all to help dress the venue. I love weddings where the whole day is personal. Remy & Sam had a vision of how they wanted the venue to look. They used foliage from their own garden to dress the tables, the table settings were recycled rum bottles filled with beautiful roses. Everything about this wedding had been thought out and planned.
Everything is personal!
Every detail of this wedding is personal to these guy’s. From Sam’s suit, which is his Grandfather’s suit tailored to fit him. To one of the rings Remy was wearing, her father’s wedding band. There was a great sense of intimacy with this wedding. There was no one there that Remy and Sam didn’t want there.
Even the ceremony was personal…
The ceremony itself was one of the best I’ve witnessed. The service was conducted by Rich, who has known Remy & Sam for many years. He delivered the most heartfelt, tear jerking service I’ve seen to date. Personally the legal bits of weddings are boring, the real fun is in these super personal services.
Speeches…
The speeches were amazing. From Remy’s mother’s speech that brought a few tears to the guests eyes, to Sam’s amazing speech that was found on Google. He didn’t even try to replace the names, which reduced everyone to laughter. The best speech of all was from Sam’s twin brother and best man. He brought the house down with his opening line “I first met Sam when we were room mates…” There was another best man speech from Sam’s longest friend, Spencer, which basically told the story of Sam trying to do the worm wherever he could.
PARTY!
The party was beyond awesome. Remy and Sam had LDN Party Band, who were just out of this world. They threw out some real party bangers, some of the guests did a few numbers. Even Sam got up to sing “Hey Jude” to his new wife Remy.
Enjoy married life guy’s, when I’m next in London we need to catch up, have drinks and talk politics again…
