Ed X Becky’s Breathtaking Wedding at The Pumping House…

I LOVE this couple! And I LOVE this venue!…

Ed and Becky were just the most amazing, down to earth couple and their family and friends were all so welcoming. You should check out their engagement session here

The Prep…

Becky was at home getting ready with her bridesmaids and Mum. She had the absolutely amazing Josephine Way cracking on with the make up. While LK Hair was, well, tackling the hair. Then came the flowers from the extremely talented Peonies & Plumes. The flowers were a collection of greens with a few succulents thrown in for good measure.

Later that morning Becky’s Grandad rocked up in the wedding car. A classic (50 year old) Humber. Which was in perfect condition, and ran like a dream.

The Pumping House…

This is the second time I have had the pleasure of shooting at this awesome venue. You can see the first wedding here.

I love getting to go back to venues. Challenging myself to create something different for every couple. Every story is different no matter where they take place.

The Wedding…

The ceremony took place in The Pumping House’s Ollerton room. A beautiful room with gallons of light pouring in. The decor in this room was stunning too. An awesome copper pipe archway decorated with perfect green flora and hanging tea lights. This theme carried on throughout the venue, with beautiful green flora and gin bottles (some of Becky’s favourite things) as centre pieces. Back to the ceremony. One of the main things I love about this venue, is it’s dog friendly! And as Ed and Becky have the cutest pupper ever it seemed like the best place to get married. Dave the cockapoo was a massive part of the day. He was the ring bearer and official videographer of the day!

The Speeches…

I always love this part of the day. It’s the part where you, as an outsider, get to hear all of the most embarrassing things about the Bride and Groom. And these speeches did not disappoint. With Ed having not one but FOUR best men, there was plenty of material form them to draw on. Like the retelling of Ed’s stag party. Dressing him in his favourite type of clothing, sports wear, and the age old tradition of tying the Groom to a lamp post. Needless to say there was roaring laughter from everyone.

The Reception…

Ed and Becky had the amazingly talented, and down to earth acoustic stylings of George Simpson to serenade them while the evening guests arrived.

Now Ed & Becky moved away from tradition here and opted to not have a first dance or cake cutting. Instead they wanted their guests to enjoy the evening and throw down some shapes on the dance floor. The atmosphere on the dance floor was just electric!

This wedding has got to be one of my favourites so far, and I really look forward to visiting The Pumping House again soon.

Words from Ed & Becky…

“I don’t really know what to say, other than a great big thank you!
I can’t tell you how many times Ed and I have looked through the photos this weekend, but they just get more and more incredible each time. You’ve managed to capture each moment of the day perfectly, and somehow pictured the emotion and atmosphere of us and each of our guests. We couldn’t be more happy with how they’ve turned out, and they’re something we’re going to cherish for years to come.”
